Purpose ?
What is the purpose of writing a blog? Here are a few reasons which I do not even relate to.
1. I want to impress a girl.
2. I have a lot of talent and I want to show the world.
3. I have lot of spare time and anything else is just even more boring.
4. I need to maintain a cyber presence.
5. Be a part of pop culture.
6. I am happy when my blog gets attention and comments.
7. I have no social life and so blogging is my exposure to the world.
8. I have a lot of readers who will be dissappointed if I stop now. (yeah right!)
I am lost.

I think each one blogs for one reason or the other. sometimes it is to share and sometimes it is just to feel better by writing stuff down and at other times it is to hear different opinions .I blog because i love to offer my friendship and also get yours and also hear what other people have to say. I think sharing is the most important part.
More reasons than one! Great list, but the first one can be changed to "I want to impress a boy" too when a girl blogs, right? LOL
Don't kill your blog. Even if you update it very rarely, and even if only the occasional person reads it, it's a way to put down your feelings, plans, what have you, like a good old-fasioned diary. except someone else can read it!
I blog because I enjoy it.There cud be no better reason.continue to blog even if you're the only one reading it.

I just did/do not have the time to update this blog too often, did not really know if I was writing good stuff because it was not getting comments... But looking at all the "girls" checking out my blog and leaving comments I think I have recharged all enthusiasm to blog!

Stats on comments on my blog:
1. Comments are mostly by "girls"... I guess my blog must be super cute or really girly!
2. Very rarely do I get a guy comment. Ravi does not count -> He is my roomie and I have threatened to poison his dinner if he does not comment often!
3. Somehow, ALL (except Amy) the "girls" visiting here are married! gosh! Cant really make any sense out of this statistic!
a forum to maintain an online diary and share thoughts, elicit comments/ discussions/ make friends/ unleash your creativity/ find avenues to use that new word you came across.
very sweet of you to create that post for your grandpa.. and a nice tribute to him. store it for future referenceand sharing with your siblings/ cousins/ the progeny...
