Fit of Brilliance Or Marinated in Perversion

People are different and its no secret that a girl is very different from a guy. Here is my most recent confrontation with this fact.

The phone conversation was about cars and she seemed to be very interested in a Chrysler Sebring, which is obviously a terrible car and she knows that but was still quite impressed by the convertible version. As a man of wisdom, in a fit of brilliance gave the perfect analogy that "Convertibles are like topless girls, even a bitch looks good if topless". I knew it was an awesome analogy and ofcourse it was. How often do we get good analogies like this?

There was absolute silence on the other side of the line. At first I had thought that she was dumbfounded by the POM (Presence Of Mind) but later realized the reaction was anything but that! She had been insinuating that it was a really perverted thing to say and totally inappropriate.

I should have known oral adminstration of wisdom is never without side effects.

Pangs of Regret

The path: not chosen, life imperfect: fortunate at best, only a Jungian, approximate at best.

Gone as in Begone

There was once a 12 year boy, whos strength was unbelievable. He was very strong because he did not have a care in the world. He was quite invincible for he did not care for his life and had indeed came back after meeting death himself and he did not care to think about it for he knew there were thousands like that coming, and still did not care. That warrior of a kid knew nothing of the word fear.

He would run, fall down and getup and run again. He never gave up, for he would hit hard, hit again and again. People really feared that kid, for he could kill with the things he knew and the things he said. He dreamed of a day when he would have a mushtache, wear glasses that he would correct often, have long hair and could still talk to people the same way. The kid had done too many things, seen too many things, heard too many things, understood too many things that people could not realize that he was still 12 years old.

The kid, for he is pure, eternal. He lives.

The kid was growing and he did not realize that for he did not care again. He remembers when he was 4 years old he wanted a bicycle one day and decided to have one right that day. He was so deperate that he rolled in the middle of a busy road to convince his dad to get him one. He can only laugh at that now for he had grown out of that!

He had one day dreamed of walking into a park on stilts, and he could actually see other people over their shoulders and people could not recognize this kid or read his age. The kid plays along in this joke and decides to see how far this could go on. When the kid tried to talk to other people he realized that there were many other kids that were playing along and most were adamantly not willing to take their stilts off and run out and play. The dream was getting boring for there were no friends and the tall-talk was not making a lot of sense. He understood what was going on and knew how to talk, but then none of that had any sanity.

Fearing a nightmare he decides to take control and takes his stilts off. People showed lots of reactions. They looked shocked, offended but then few other kids took off their stilts too, started playing and were soon friends. He plays this joke with the stilts on with everybody else. He gets confused with this joke himself for the joke had gone too far and beyond his control. He wakes up with a jerk, happy that he is still 12 years old but still very confused.

He was scared for the first time, for he cannot be 12 forever.

Belief changes with context

Radical thinkers exist in society. Radical thinkers, who will almost never be welcomed initially, are always around us, but seldom show their faces. It is quite vague as to why there is such a dearth of radical thinking. Any random thought will sound radical if it does not fall within the limits of accepted belief. Almost anyone is capable of thinking radically but fear, could be the reason to suppress these ideas. Fear is a main factor because a radical thinker runs the heavy risk of being outcasted and there are just too many examples in history to be confortable.

For example, consider the case of the dead being honoured. Why would the dead be honoured? Maybe because, the close relatives like spouses would not like to see it any other way, maybe the deseased deserved it, maybe afterlife is true, maybe it is the last thing that the person wanted. The bereaved could go into a shock and since saying good-bye is psychologically a very healthy process for the close ones, this could have been incorporated into every religion.

Anyway, to a total stranger, the last rights performed for a dead person might not have any significance. Which could mean, that the stranger was not empathizing with the bereaved or could be a disbeliever of the whole concept of honouring the dead or could be a simple case of irrelevance. The reasons shift with the context of the stranger, the context being place (same town, country), time (same time, centuries apart, or civilization apart) and religion.

A set of quesions and answers would explain the situation better.

Would I have approved the burial of live assistants along with the deseased if I had lived during the ancient Egyptian civilization? probably yes. Would I have thought of entering any of those sacred pyramids if I had lived then? probable not. But a civilization apart, do I feel the same about the Egyptian burial rites? No. Is the mummification process of the Egyptians anything more than a historical awe? No.

The whole idea seems morbid as the full extent of the topic unrolls.

Well then, think about the Egyptian grave robbers. They have lived in that era, and have made a living by breaking the rules, by thinking radically, facing their worst fears. Would I ever steal from a Egyptian pyramid laden with gold and precious stones if I was given the oppurtunity now? probably yes. And most people now would do it, but maybe with some "superstitious" reservations.

How did this morbidness become a normal thing?

Anne Frank's inspiration II

Not surprisingly, I recieved very passive aggressive averse reaction from people for starting a seperate blog. And since it is not in my nature to keep things hidden, or my inability to hide anything, I have decided to continue this blog and not have any other blog.

Hurrah!

Anne Frank's inspiration

I was reading the book about Anne Frank's diary. This was a personal journal of this small jewish girl in German occupied territory in Europe. The moment I saw her photo on the last page, the book just came to life. At once it all made me realize that this was writen by a small girl, only the truth to be put down, until death. It became almost sacred, for it was all the words of a tiny adolescent girl writing about everything she felt.

I realized that my blog was a anything like that and anything else would be a waste of the world. I decided to take all the trash out of my blog and only the truth. Realized that it would be impossible to write a blog when actual people who are mentioned in the blog are reading it, I decided to migrate to another blog.

I will try to update this blog too. Pardon me for not providing the link.
